We've almost finished construction on the Americus Road site! The house dedication for the new homeowners, the Albany family, will take place on July 3. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make their dream of a simple, decent house a reality!
In preparation for the first annual Metropolis Blitz Build, being held June 1-7, we're now laying the foundations for our fourteenth and fifteenth houses: one on Dougherty Lane in the Sumter neighborhood, and one on Cordele Drive in Fullersville. Starting from a poured foundation, blitz build participants will work in shifts from sunrise to sunset, framing, roofing, insulating, drywalling, and siding the two houses.
